BUBISHER: Las bibliotecas de los campamentos saharauis
Main Article Content
Abstract
The Bubisher project is a cultural initiative aimed at the population of the Sahrawi refugee camps in Tindouf (Algeria). It consists of a network of libraries and mobile libraries that provide access to books and promote reading among children, young people, and adults. Created in 2008 as a solidarity-driven idea, the project seeks to strengthen the learning of Spanish— the second official language of the Sahrawi people— and to foster educational and cultural development. Through activities such as reading clubs, training for facilitators, and collaboration with schools, Bubisher contributes to improving the overall education of the population and to preserving their cultural identity. Its main objective is to guarantee access to culture and knowledge in a context of exile and adverse conditions.
