Abstract
eBiblio Madrid was launched in 2014, within the framework of the national project eBiblio, promoted by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports and with the cooperation of the regions whose responsibility is the management and structuring of the service in their territories with the networks of public libraries, mostly dependent on the municipality.
For six years, eBiblio Madrid has grown and consolidated until having its own entity as a public reading service at citizens with the collaboration of libraries, acquiring regional coverage.
The article reviews the evolution during the last six years, the distinctive elements of the service and its particularities. We also discuss the current reality as well as the strategies implemented during the current pandemic.
