Abstract
Gavà, a town with a deep-rooted tradition of amateur theatre, goes one step further in its drive to the performing arts with the 2015 call for the contest “Words in Scene”, the Gavà Dramatic Writing Contest. The conception of the project draws a temporary arch that begins with a training workshop of dramatic writing, followed by the call of the award and the choice of winning works, the pooling of theatre groups and, finally, the scenification of the plays. The project arises, and is founded, from a network of complicity and work between different educational and cultural agents, such as the Library Network, the Amateur Theatre Commission of Gavà, the Regidoria de Cultura and the Teachers, who work together to coordinate the course, competition, prizes and performances.
